 Job Overview: The BCYL Tech Explorers Program is a dynamic, year-long initiative designed to introduce middle and high school students to the world of computer science, including Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Esports, and Coding. The coordinator will oversee the program’s daily operations, support curriculum development, and manage facilitators, ensuring that students gain meaningful, hands-on experiences in technology education. 

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Oversight: Manage the Tech Explorers Program, ensuring smooth implementation and alignment with BCYL’s mission to bridge the digital divide and empower underserved students through technology education.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist in designing and updating course curricula to stay current with the latest trends and advancements in technology. Courses include introductory and advanced topics in coding, AI, VR, esports, and more for both middle and high school students.
  • Facilitator Hiring and Management: Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of program facilitators. Provide ongoing support, supervision, and guidance to ensure effective instruction and positive student engagement.
  • Supply and Budget Management: Order necessary supplies for the program and assist in managing the program's budget. Ensure that all resources are used effectively and that the program runs within the allocated budget.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest developments in the fields of VR, AI, esports, and coding to continually refine and enhance the program.
  • Student Engagement and Support: Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports the success of all students, especially those from underserved backgrounds.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
