Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Provide high level analytical support to Grocery Terminal Leaders focusing on on-going driver development initiatives that support safety and retention goals.
  • Evaluate Driver satisfaction, retention and turnover; provide necessary tools to effectively perform position responsibilities to assist in increasing Driver retention and reducing overall turnover.
  • Work closely with designated department personnel to develop training for driver safety.
  • Gather analyze and interpret retention data for the purpose of identifying best course of action for terminal leadership to decrease turnover.
  • Perform regular assessments to ensure consistent improvement on metrics that impact driver safety and retention.
  • Develop strategies and sponsor key initiatives to foster a culture of positive driver support to improve driver retention.
  • Gathers, organizes, and analyzes information on problems or procedures and develop solutions or alternative methods to avert losses as well as review terminal safety reports and effect changes to reduce losses.
  • Review various reporting on driver safety (Drive Cam, IMDS, CER etc) and directs activities to effect positive safety outcomes; ensures coaching is effective and that the terminal meets company safety expectations.
  • Provides guidance to terminal employees regarding local, state, and federal safety related regulations, as well as safety policies and procedures. Promotes good relations with internal and external customers by coaching and supporting employees on how to find the best solution to safety problems.
  • Counsel high risk drivers on all aspects safety related including items on risk analysis scoring. Serve as ultimate decision-maker to issue corrective action; up to and including whether to terminate driver's employment.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
  • Four years' experience in operations field and/or safety in trucking industry required.
  • Previous experience as a truck driver preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially excel.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to build consensus and influence others.
  • Must possess great collaborative skills and demonstrated development of strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.

Pay Range: $67,250.00 - $91,750.00 Annual
