Fire Sprinkler Designer Trainee

Job description:

Foothills Fire Protection Inc. is an Open Shop Contractor (non-union) looking for an entry level Fire Sprinkler Designer for commercial construction design. We are a well-established company (30 years) seeking to grow our team with an enthusiastic and motivated team member.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to review construction documents and coordinate with General Contractor and subcontractors to design fire sprinkler system
  • Thorough use of analytical thinking and problem solving in order to determine the best fire sprinkler system design
  • Learn how to create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoCAD and Hydratec type programs
  • Learn to create stock list for all material required to install the fire sprinkler system
  • Learn how to perform hydraulic calculations
  • Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure company exceeds our clients expectations
  • Coordinate with other departments within offices to ensure proper handover of job information
  • Complete other assigned responsibilities as directed by immediate supervisor or FFP management
