Job description

The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is actively recruiting a Rheumatologist to join our practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is an opportunity to join the Division of Rheumatology and be a part of the Autoimmune Institute, a world-class team of health care professionals focused on the entire spectrum of autoimmunity. See varying complexities from rheumatoid arthritis to relapsing polychondritis, and many other allied diseases. Enjoy the collaboration amongst different specialties and full support from our Care Transformation team, which includes a pharmacist, dietitian, social worker, and behavioral health consultant. This holistic approach addresses primary rheumatologic disease manifestations, as well as secondary health outcomes.

The division of rheumatology has an academic focus while providing superior quality care in a very collegial environment. The division consists of 15 board-certified rheumatologists and 8 APPs

With our active rheumatology fellowship program, weekly didactic schedules, and Drexel University College of Medicine affiliation, the position affords the opportunity for teaching, research, and trainee mentoring across all levels of learners.

The medicine institute's full-time research team is advancing the current understanding of autoimmunity and rheumatology by exploring new ways to diagnose, treat, and monitor these conditions. The Autoimmunity Institute's unprecedented model of integrated multidisciplinary care and research has been enthusiastically embraced by health care providers, national disease foundations, media, and most importantly, our patients.

Qualifications:

  • Must be board-certified/eligible in Rheumatology

  • Pennsylvania medical licensure in good standing prior to employment

  • DEA and CPR Certification required prior to employment
