  • Tutoring, coaching sports teams (even getting uniforms), mentoring and teaching chess
  • Ensuring that students have school supplies, warm coats, hats and uniforms
  • Partnering your company or religious congregation with a public school
  • Taking field trips (both in- and out-of-town); including college-bound trips
  • Participating in school-based community service projects, e.g. neighborhood-school gardening with students
