What does a Trainee Insurance Estimator do?

A Trainee Insurance Estimator assists in evaluating damage to property, vehicles, or other insured items to determine the cost of repairs or replacements. They work under the supervision of experienced estimators, learning how to inspect damages, gather information, and prepare reports for insurance claims. Their role is essential in ensuring that insurance claims are processed accurately and fairly. Training typically involves both classroom learning and on-the-job experience, gradually building their expertise in assessment and customer service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Trainee Insurance Estimator, and why are they important?
