Job description

***IMPORTANT: This is an experienced-level, full-time, on-site position. It is not an entry-level, remote, hybrid, freelance, or contract opportunity. The selected candidate must work from Builcore’s office in Miami Beach, Florida.

Applicants must have at least 5 years of construction estimating experience within the general contractor industry. Please review all requirements carefully and apply only if you meet the required qualifications and can work in the office.

About Builcore

Builcore is a well-established luxury general contractor with a strong reputation built over the past decade. We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Estimator to join our team in Miami Beach.

About the Position

The Construction Project Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and detailed proposals for a variety of construction projects. This role also includes soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor proposals and carefully analyzing project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and related documentation.

Strong estimating experience, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of construction costs and methods are essential for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for construction projects.
  • Request and review proposals from vendors.
  • Attend Pre-Bid meetings or pre-construction meetings.
  • Job site visits as required.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and other professionals to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating within the general contractor industry.
  • Extensive knowledge in quantity take off, and proposal preparation.
  • Proficiency in quantity take off software.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in architecture, or a related field.
  • Thorough understanding of construction costs, materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work full-time from our Miami Beach office.
