Summary:
Under the direction of the Sales VP, the Sales Professional will develop strategic plans and forecasts for accounts, communicate effectively internally and externally, resolving customer issues proactively, grow and maintain sales territory, identify new sales opportunities, understand customer visions and supply chain objectives to provide proactive solutions, build relationships with decision makers, exceed sales goals and provide routine cost savings reports.

Responsibilities of the Sales Trainee include, but are not limited to:

  • Successfully complete a comprehensive 6–12-month training program covering, but not limited to:
  • Application Engineering.
  • Marketing.
  • Operations.
  • Customer Service.
  • Branch Training Rotation.
  • Sales & Product Training.
  • Processing sales via computer and phone.
  • Writing and entering orders into system.
  • Light purchasing and handling quotations.
  • Developing and identifying new sales/service opportunities within assigned sales territory.
  • Building and sustaining customer relationships
  • Interacting with internal company resources to achieve goals.


Qualifications of the Sales Trainee include, but are not limited to:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must have a customer-service oriented mentality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • MS computer knowledge.,
  • Communicate well with other internally and externally – be able to resolve unique customer requests and challenges.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills for dynamic environment essential for market share growth.
  • Self-starter ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
