Salary Grade : 17
SUMMARY:
Work independently to identify potential credit risks associated with new and existing commercial borrowers through the financial analysis process and works collaboratively with the Commercial Lenders to mitigate these risks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Credit Analysis
  1. Works collaboratively with the commercial lenders to provide an independent analysis of commercial borrowers in the identification and mitigation of potential credit risks; this process involves but is not limited to a thorough financial analysis, projecting cash flow and collateral evaluations
  2. Provides independent input in the process of risk rating commercial borrowers
  3. Mentors and assists the training of less experienced credit analysts and commercial lending trainees in statement spreading and other credit administrative duties
  4. Responsible for annual review date tracking for commercial customers
  5. Distribute reviews to lenders and monitor follow up needed based on results of assessment of the third party loan review vendor
  6. Responsible for accurately completing credit analysis with basic to average levels of complexity

Credit Administration Duties
  1. Assists in the compilation of various reports for Loan Committee and the weekly distribution of the Loan Committee packages as needed
  2. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)
  • Bachelor degree; major in accounting or finance preferable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Three to four years of credit analyst experience required.
  • Understanding of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and significant workload.
  • Ability and willingness to produce high quantity and high quality work.
