Job description

Business Development | Premium Merchant Funding Midtown Manhattan

"Don't ever let somebody tell you you can't do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you protect it." Will Smith, The Pursuit of Happyness

Your talent was never the question. The opportunity was.

The Opportunity

This is a Wall Street sales opportunity. PMF is the largest broker in the alternative lending industry, headquartered on Wall Street. In the last 15 years we have grown into an organization of 26 offices across 4 countries, all based on a system of building brokers into managers.

Right now business owners across the country are under immense pressure to make payroll, expand, or even stay afloat because the banks are moving too slow or, due to new regulations, are telling them no. PMF offers 30+ products and services that make us a one stop shop for all their capital needs.

PMF is pushing for 6 billion in funding, making this summer a career defining one. Our leads are up 200% and we are growing the team to meet demand. This is a rare chance to join the Midtown Manhattan office of Premium Merchant Funding. This office has traditionally run as a small, elite unit. In 2025 the office paid out over 20 million dollars in broker fees to a team of 60 agents. Our goal is to double that before the end of 2026.

What We Offer

A convenient office location right next to Grand Central. A desk, your own business number, email, and warm leads to build your own brand. Six months of mentorship by top performers to help you establish the skills, mindset, and first accounts in your book of business needed for a long term career with PMF.

The Role

You will focus on generating applications by building relationships with American business owners who will become accounts in your book of business. The first year is the grind. It is supposed to be. It takes 100 no's to get the first yes but 80 percent of people who make it through year one are making $250,000 or more in year two.

Year 1 OTE: $85,000 to $150,000+ Year 2 OTE: $250,000+

The Culture & Training

The Midtown office has deep roots in where it all started on 55 Water Street. The culture is Wall Street brokerage by design. We work hard Monday through Thursday and Friday is a short day. Wednesday nights we play poker. Thursday is a team night. Leadership buys food and drinks when we hit numbers and they are always running spiffs so the team can earn extra on top of their commissions.

From day one we invest in you. Two weeks of hands-on training to help you submit your first application. After that you move into a six month mentorship program to help you establish the first chapter of your book of business. You are not handed a desk and wished luck. You are trained, mentored, and pushed.

Who We Hire

Veterans and Athletes: discipline, the daily routine, the love of competition, and the ability to earn your position rather than wait for it are the same traits that build top performers and office managers on Wall Street. Twenty of our 26 office managers are former athletes or veterans. That is not a coincidence.

College Grads in Greek Life or Club Leadership: the confidence to talk numbers with business owners is already there. Many of our desk managers and closers come from this background. We extend offers before graduation but require an in-person final round at our Midtown office, four blocks from Port Authority and one block from Grand Central in the heart of New York City.

Previous Sales Experience: if you have worked the door, the phone, or the floor for someone else you already understand the Law of Averages. Our closers are funding 20 out of every 50 applications submitted. It takes 200 no's to get your first yes and at PMF every yes is worth $500 to $10,000 in commission. You have been working harder for less pay and less opportunity. That changes at PMF.

""The dream does not protect itself."
