Summary/Objective 
This is a part-time, contract position. The contract will be from mid-september to mid-march annually.

The part-time field technician is responsible for setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment used in men and women’s home basketball games at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN. This person is responsible for ensuring equipment functions properly before, during and after events and will be on-site for each men and women’s home basketball game. This person will be trained in Motion Rocket to download content and put together game presentations.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  1. Operate LED displays, scoreboards and other related technology.
  2. Troubleshoot any technical issues.
  3. Attend any required trainings, meetings and client calls.
  4. Monitor displays and scoreboards during events to ensure real time performance.
  5. Install and organize new parts for signage and displays.
  6. Collaborates with various departments to meet client needs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position, hours of work will vary and are dependent on the University basketball game schedule. This position requires evening and/or weekend work. 


Travel

This position does not require travel.  


Preferred Education and Experience

  1. High school graduation, or its equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  3. Knowledge of LED displays, Motion Rocket and/or audio-visual systems is a plus, but not required.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must have access to reliable transportation.
