Department: Assessment
Grade: 250
Salary: $32.53/hour
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for assisting the supervisor in training employees and in reviewing property owners and Assessment department appraisals for content and accuracy.
  • Appraises a wide variety of commercial properties ranging from small to large facilities, major commercial retail centers and large office complexes, using all or a combination of the three approaches to value (Sales, Cost, and Income Comparisons) in estimating market value.
  • Assists the Supervisor and Senior Appraiser in the appraisal of the County's largest and most complex properties by independently gathering a variety of economic data from realty firms, financial institutions and other organizations and individuals as necessary for use by the supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years of commercial appraising experience.
  • Possess a Missouri State General Appraisal Certification and be qualified as a supervisor for trainees for appraisal licenses.
  • Must possess/maintain valid Missouri Driver's License.
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
