POSITION OVERVIEW
We're looking for an energetic, hospitality-minded individual to join our team as a Depot Cafรฉ Attendant. This early-morning, seasonal position is the heartbeat of our guest experience before the first whistle blows - from brewing the perfect cup of coffee to stocking fresh grab-and-go bites that fuel our guests for a day of adventure in the Black Hills.

Position: Depot Cafรฉ Attendant
Location: 1880 Train - Hill City, SD
Type: Seasonal
Shift: Early Morning
WHAT YOU'LL DO
โ€ข Prep and open the cafรฉ for daily operations ahead of depot opening
โ€ข Craft coffee and hot beverages for guests and crew
โ€ข Prepare, assemble, and stock grab-and-go food items (pastries, sandwiches, snacks, etc.)
โ€ข Assist with meal prep and F&B setup for scheduled departures
โ€ข Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cafรฉ environment
โ€ข Deliver exceptional customer service to every guest
โ€ข Represent the 1880 Train with professionalism and enthusiasm
โ€ข Follow all company safety procedures and food handling standards
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
โ€ข Friendly, positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for guest service
โ€ข Prior food service, cafรฉ, or hospitality experience preferred
โ€ข Early-morning availability required (shifts begin before depot opening)
โ€ข Dependable with a strong work ethic

โ€ข Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
โ€ข Food handler certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
