Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Mission Trainer Team Lead to support intelligence training initiatives for mission-critical programs at Fort Belvoir. This role leads the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs aligned with Army and TRADOC standards, ensuring intelligence professionals are equipped with current tradecraft, doctrine, and operational capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in intelligence training, curriculum development, and instructional delivery for military audiences, along with proven leadership in managing training teams and initiatives across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and delivery of intelligence training programs aligned with mission objectives, tradecraft, and operational standards
  • Design and develop lesson plans, presentations, and curricula in accordance with TRADOC and Army training standards
  • Deliver instructor-led training to military and intelligence audiences across multiple geographic locations
  • Manage and oversee training activities, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to government requirements
  • Maintain training materials within designated systems (e.g., AGILE, Training Development Capability (TDC), or similar platforms)
  • Evaluate emerging intelligence policies, doctrine, and guidance; incorporate updates into training products as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain training records, metrics, and tracking systems in accordance with program requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise on intelligence processes, tradecraft, and dissemination practices
  • Lead and mentor training staff, ensuring effective execution of instructional objectives and professional development of team members
  • Deliver briefings and training updates to leadership and stakeholders as required

Required Qualifications

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
  • Bachelors degree in a related field with 10 years of experience in an intelligence discipline within DoD or the Intelligence Community (within the last 15 years)
    OR
    Associates degree with 12 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing training materials or curricula in accordance with TRADOC and Army standards
  • Minimum 5 years of experience conducting training within the United States across multiple geographic locations
  • Demonstrated experience instructing and delivering training to military audiences
  • Strong understanding of intelligence tradecraft, processes, and operational environments

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proven ability to design and deliver structured training programs for complex intelligence topics
  • Strong instructional and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Experience developing curriculum, lesson plans, and training documentation
  • Familiarity with Army training development systems and frameworks (e.g., TRADOC, TDC, AGILE)
  • Ability to analyze policy and doctrine and translate into actionable training content
  • Strong organizational skills with experience maintaining training records and reporting metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including briefing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and execute in high-tempo environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a team lead or supervisory training role
  • Experience supporting intelligence training programs within DIA, Army, or IC environments
  • Familiarity with cross-domain or multi-source intelligence training environments
  • Experience incorporating emerging technologies or tools into training delivery
