Description:

The Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for the development of the strategies, policies, processes, tools, and solutions that anchor our logistics compliance programs, including but not limited to global import and export classification, country of origin, preferential trade agreements (FTA), supply chain security, export control/license determination, and other trade compliance programs. The ideal candidate would be a subject matter expert in global trade regulations with a strong track record of delivering projects that involve coordination across different functions (e.g., finance, tax, supply chain, R&D, Sales, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the relevant trade compliance policies, procedures, andtrade compliance manualsnecessary to successfully manage import and export operations.
  • Manage compliance and oversee trade programs includingHTS and ECCNclassification, preferential and non-preferential origin, customs valuation, andduty drawback.
  • Conduct trade compliance risk assessments, audits, due diligence reviews, and internal investigations to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Monitor inquiries from Customs authorities and coordinate timely responses (e.g.,CF28 inquiries and customs audits).
  • Develop anddeliver Trade Compliance training programsto strengthen organizational awareness and a culture of compliance.
  • Provide advice and analysis to PXG designers and business leaders tounderstand the impact of duties on total acquisition costs.
  • Provide global customs and trade compliance guidance to programs that will yieldcost-saving and duty-avoidance opportunities.
  • Lead the trade programs software selection, RFP, and implementation
  • Assist in global and/or regional compliance projects/programs.
  • Review key import documentation, including CBP Form 7501, for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain working familiarity with the ACE portal.
  • Reconcile and remit duties.

Job Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in Trade Compliance, Global Trade, or a related field.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of global Trade Compliance principles (customs valuation, Incoterms, licenses and permits, country of origin, HTS classifications, duty optimization / Free Trade Agreements,U.S. Export Regulations (EAR), ECCN, Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), OFAC,etc.)
  • Experience with leading, executing, and maintaining Logistics Compliance programs.
  • Strong working experience with databases, global trade automation solutions, and theAutomated Commercial Environment (ACE)functionality.
  • Experience working with Maquiladoras.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and navigate large datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word,Excel, or other analytical tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Job Skills Preferred:

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Customs Compliance Specialist certification
  • Bilingual is a plus (preferably Spanish)
  • Experience within sports equipment orapparel industries
  • Global Trade Management software

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-driven and directed, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Team player mentality & self-motivated

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience (preferred)
