About the Opportunity
Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing real estate brokerage specializing in residential leasing, sales, and new development throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. They are seeking a Leasing Agent to join their team and play a key role in showcasing available inventory, delivering an exceptional client experience, and helping drive occupancy across a diverse portfolio.
The Leasing Agent will be responsible for greeting, qualifying, and touring prospective residents, managing the leasing process from inquiry through signed lease, and maintaining strong relationships with both prospects and residents. This individual will also assist with inventory tracking, traffic reporting, market analysis, and leasing performance metrics while contributing to overall occupancy and revenue goals.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process rental applications, lease packages, and lease agreements for prospective residents
  • Conduct property tours and present available apartments to prospective renters
  • Guide applicants through the leasing process and assist with all required documentation
  • Conduct lease signings and ensure the accuracy and completeness of lease documents
  • Maintain and track apartment inventory
  • Monitor traffic sources and recommend adjustments to maximize lead generation and marketing effectiveness
  • Analyze leasing performance, market trends, competitive properties, seasonal activity, traffic, conversion rates, and agent productivity, providing recommendations to management as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of vacant apartments and common areas to ensure presentation standards are maintained
  • Communicate with residents and assist in addressing questions, concerns, and service-related matters
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless resident and prospect experience
  • Prepare monthly market surveys and comparable property reports while regularly evaluating competing properties
Qualifications
  • 1-4 years of residential leasing experience
  • Previous onsite leasing or residential sales experience required
  • Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and leasing best practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with On-Site, Yardi, BuildingLink, Nestio, or similar property management/leasing platforms is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Must be available to work Saturdays or at least one weekend day
Compensation
  • $75,000
