The Material HandlingTeam Lead- High-Rise Warehouse, Supermarkets & Line-Side Supply is a player coach with operational leadership of the high-bay warehouse, supermarket areas, and the material provisioning to assembly and manufacturing. This role ensures that the right material is available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right place, while leading the team through clear KPIs and standardized processes.This is a hands on material handling role..
A strong focus is placed on Lean Logistics, flow orientation, and performance-based leadership.
What you'll do:
- Function as player-coach forteams responsible for:
- High-rise warehouse operations
- Supermarket management (Kanban / pull systems)
- Line-side material supply to assembly and manufacturing
- Ensure stable, on-time, and consumption-oriented material provisioning to production.
- Plan, coordinate, and optimize warehouse and line-side replenishment processes.
- Define,monitor, and actively manage KPIs such as:
- Line-side availability / material shortages
- Inventory accuracy and stock levels
- Warehouse productivity and throughput times
- Supermarket stability and replenishment reliability
- Lead the team based on targets, standard work, and visual management.
- Identify deviations, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean / TPS methods (Kanban, 5S, standardization, flow optimization).
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and logistics standards.
- Coordinate closely with production, materials planning, inboundlogistics, and internal transport
- Support production ramp-ups and volume changes with flexiblelogisticsconcepts
Qualifications& Experience
- At least 5 years of hands on experience in warehouse material flow leading to solid operational knowledge of warehouse processes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong track record of KPI-driven performance management.
- Hands-on knowledge in Lean Logistics and Toyota Production System principles.
- Hands on forklift experience with a valid forklift license.
- Strong ERP system proficiency (e.g., Oracle).
- Structured, analytical, and performance-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize multiple material flows.
- Strong communicationskills across shopfloor and management levels
- High resilience in a fast-paced, production environment and a continuous improvement focus on flow and stability.
Additional Information:
- Location: Waukesha, WI
- Work Schedule: Onsite Monday through Friday
- Travel: This role will require an initial trip of approximately 1 month to Jenbach, Austria for training and to establish relationships with the peers.
