Job description

As president for Kettering Health Miamisburg and Kettering Health Washington Township, assumes full operational responsibility as the senior executive for all aspects of the Kettering Health Miamisburg, Kettering Health Washington Township, and Kettering Health Behavioral Medical Center campuses and Kettering Health Middletown, Kettering Health Franklin, and Sycamore Glen.  Implements and coordinates strategic plan and facilitates KRA results for all the above listed entities.  Performs all other duties as assigned.

  • Works with departments to initiate appropriate capital investments that both increase revenue and improve Kettering Health Miamisburg and Kettering Health Washington Township physical plants.
  • Works closely with Senior Leadership and other appropriate staff on the development of strategic initiatives surrounding physician recruitment and business development.

Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business Administration)
  • Master’s Degree (preferably in Health Care Administration)
  • Appropriate continuing education courses

Experience

Knowledge in areas of health care finance, government regulations, planning and marketing, medical staff relations, management theory, reimbursement, budgeting, health care technology, interpersonal relationships, and other areas as appropriate.  Five or more years of administrative experience in health care management is required.  Demonstrated experience in a major community teaching hospital environment is desirable.

Skills & Knowledge

The President for Kettering Health Miamisburg and Kettering Health Washington Township provides leadership, direction, and coordination of operations in a manner consistent with organizational mission and objectives.  Assumes responsibility for all aspects of internal and external operations and programs which include fiscal and general operations, patient care operations, professional services, marketing, community relations, spiritual care, and human resources related to areas of oversight.  Develops, models, coaches the champions, sponsors, and mangers of various strategic initiatives, in collaboration with individual local and system leaders, who have operational responsibilities Kettering Health Miamisburg, Kettering Health Washington Township, and Kettering Health Behavioral Medical Center campuses and Kettering Health Middletown, Kettering Health Franklin, and Sycamore Glen.
