Job description

Salary & Benefits

Pay Range: $75.26 - $105.59 per hour. Sign‑on bonus of $25,000 and relocation assistance of $10,000 for qualified hires.

Benefits include retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave, health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and short‑ and long‑term disability.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the structure of the Quality Management & Accreditation division and foster cross‑disciplinary relationships.
  • Lead and manage the SEARHC Quality Management & Accreditation/Quality Management program, integrating quality improvement across all divisions.
  • Formulate, analyze, and implement Quality Management & Accreditation policies, programs, and procedures in alignment with SEARHC objectives.
  • Manage SEARHC’s accreditation requirements to ensure compliance with accrediting body standards and provide guidance on credentialing issues.
  • Approve and ensure compliance by applying consistent quality improvement processes, including rapid PDSA cycles, and promote the SEARHC Seven Standards of Excellence.
  • Collaborate with Electronic Health Record (EHR) staff to incorporate quality measurement capacity, train staff on data input, and develop quality measurement reports.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to staff and patients to resolve complaints and administrative problems; investigate complaints, collect information, summarize findings, and recommend action to the COO or directly respond to patients and staff.
  • Report findings to Executive Leadership Team and/or SEARHC Board of Directors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Travel by jet, small aircraft, and ferry as required.
Qualifications
  • RN License or comparable clinical degree with experience and specialized education or training in Quality Management / Performance Improvement.
  • Master’s degree in a health‑related or business field preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required within 18 months of hire.
  • Five years of healthcare administration or performance improvement management experience.
  • Three years of experience supervising healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of quality and performance improvement strategies, accrediting agency requirements, infection prevention, safety practices, risk management, and total quality management principles.
  • Understanding of Alaska Native/American Indian health issues and service delivery programs for Alaska Native/American Indians.
  • Skills in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Critical thinking and ability to lead, motivate, and maintain a high‑performing team through effective performance management, communication, and coaching.
  • Professional communication with all levels of the organization and comfort presenting to internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to influence change by working closely with all departments, operating with a sense of urgency, and managing multiple projects with varying priorities.
  • Understanding of changing healthcare market dynamics and ability to translate them into actionable strategy.
  • Decision‑making under conditions of uncertainty and time pressure, with analysis of financial and ethical implications.
  • Travel required; travel expected by jet, small aircraft, and ferry.
