Join Dover Food Retail in Conyers, GA

At Dover Food Retail (DFR), we build the display cases, specialty products, refrigeration and power systems, and service solutions that keep food safe and beautifully presented. Our brandsโ€”HillPhoenix and Anthonyโ€”embody our promise to be Innovating Whatโ€™s Next in glass doors and intelligent merchandising technologies.

DFR operates within the Refrigeration and Food Equipment segment of Dover Corporationยฎ (NYSE: DOV), a diversified global manufacturer with annual revenues exceeding $7 billion.

A day in the life

You arrive, review the unit layout, and map your piping run. Tape measure out, you mark precise cuts on copper and steel tubing. The saw hums, the tube bender arcs a clean radius, and the torch brings the joint to a perfect brazeโ€”copper to copperโ€”clean, bright, and strong. By mid-morning, suction and discharge lines are in, flares formed, and connections dressed. In the afternoon, you pressurize, leak-check, and document results, collaborating with teammates to keep the line moving and quality uncompromised.

Core responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install copper and steel tubing for refrigeration units.
  • Braze copper-to-copper joints using a torch with sound brazing fundamentals.
  • Operate shop equipment, including a copper saw and tube bender.
  • Create flares; route and assemble suction and discharge piping.
  • Pressurize completed assemblies and perform leak checks to specification.
  • Work with common trade tools: tube cutters, hand vise, power benders, files, flaring/swedging tools, and torch.
  • Contribute to layout and setup of units; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; or 3โ€“6 months of relevant experience/training; or a comparable blend of education and experience.
  • Comfort reading safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Math skills across whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Problem-solving ability in settings with limited standardization; able to follow written, verbal, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
