Inside Sales Representative

Air Tools & Accessories
Deer Park, TX

Position Overview

Air Tools & Accessories is seeking a knowledgeable and responsive Inside Sales Representative to support our industrial customer base across tool sales, rentals, and repair services. This role is a blend of sales, operations, and technical coordination—ideal for someone who understands or wants to learn pneumatic and industrial tooling.

You will be the primary point of contact for customers needing air tools, accessories, repairs, and refurbished equipment, ensuring fast turnaround, accurate quoting, and strong follow-up.

What We Sell & Service (Core to Role)

You will work daily with the following product lines and services:

  • Major Brands: APT, MPT, Ingersoll Rand (IR), Chicago Pneumatic (CP), Dotco, Cleco, NPK, Ridgid
  • Tool Categories:
    • Impact wrenches, nutrunners, torque wrenches
    • Grinders (angle, vertical, die)
    • Drills (air feed, handheld)
    • Chipping hammers, scaling hammers, rivet busters
    • Rock drills, paving breakers, clay diggers
    • Sanders, needle scalers, tampers, rammers
    • Pipe threaders, tuggers, air hoists, balancers
  • Services:
    • Tool repair (all major brands)
    • Refurbished/rebuilt tool sales
    • Tool and hoist rentals
    • Power socket warehouse (1/2” to 3 1/2” drive, specialty sockets/adapters)
  • Accessories:
    • Carbide burrs, chisels, moil points, whip hoses, lubricators, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Management

  • Handle inbound calls/emails for tool sales, parts, rentals, and repairs
  • Prepare fast, accurate quotes for tools, accessories, and repair work
  • Follow up aggressively on open quotes to close business
  • Identify upsell opportunities (e.g., accessories, sockets, refurbished tools)
  • Build relationships with repeat industrial customers (plants, contractors, maintenance teams)

Repair & Service Coordination

  • Intake tools for repair and generate work orders
  • Communicate repair estimates, approvals, and timelines
  • Coordinate with shop technicians to prioritize and track repairs
  • Ensure quick turnaround and proactive customer updates

Order Processing & Inventory

  • Process sales orders, invoices, and purchase orders
  • Check inventory and coordinate sourcing of parts/tools
  • Work with vendors for pricing and availability
  • Assist with managing high-demand items (impacts, grinders, sockets, etc.)

Operations Support

  • Maintain clean documentation (quotes, POs, work orders)
  • Coordinate with outside sales and field teams
  • Help improve workflow efficiency in quoting and repair tracking

Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years of inside sales, industrial sales, or customer service experience
  • Experience with air tools, industrial tools, or mechanical equipment strongly preferred
  • Comfortable discussing tools like impacts, grinders, torque tools, etc.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong sense of urgency—customers expect quick turnaround
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); Quickbooks experience is a plus
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced shop + sales environment
