Summary:
The Tool Crib Attendant will support and execute daily duties in the shop relating to tools and shop equipment under the direct supervision of the Shop/Yard Coordinator Lead. The Tool Crib Coordinator will be responsible for maintenance, organization, and coordination of all shop tools and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for keeping proper logs and accurate dates of all tools and equipment being checked in or out from the tool crib.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition, and report all findings to Tool Crib Coordinator/Yard Coordinator for further diagnosis/repairs.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are being placed back in their respective locations daily.
  • Assist with consumable orders and tool inventory orders.
  • Monitor and maintain daily cleanliness of tool cage and all tool cage associated areas.
  • Maintain all shop HPU's, filters, filter carts and report as found to Shop Asset Coordinator.
  • Assist in the maintenance of monthly and quarterly inspections of all shop equipment.
  • Assist with accountability of all shop calibrated equipment; maintain records and scheduling recalibrations.
  • Assist with the preventive maintenance of shop equipment as required.
  • Assist with maintaining accountability of all shop consumables; controlling inventory/stock supplies.
  • Assist gathering received items from warehouse pertaining to the shop or tool crib purchase orders.
  • Assist keeping the tool crib secured and security of all equipment maintained at all times.
  • Promote safety awareness and comply with all shop safety procedures and regulations.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the company.
  • Be familiar with company HSE policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Decision making skills, initiative and assertiveness.
  • Must be able to operate overhead crane and all Trendsetter equipment.
  • Must be able to carry, lift, push/pull, bend, and squat up to 50 lbs.
