The Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) is now accepting applications for an as-needed TRAX Operator in Titus County. This position is as needed, filling in when drivers are absent. Position is responsible for providing transportation services to individuals, including persons with disabilities, in a safe and timely manner; and operating and maintaining the TRAX vehicles.

Your application MUST identify the required minimum qualifications for this position. Please detail how you meet the minimum qualifications AND respond in detail to the KSA's in the "Worked Performed" blocks of the application. You may use plain bond paper in order to effectively respond to all the KSA's.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Requires high school diploma or its equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA's)

Knowledge of vehicle operations. Must pass a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) approved drug test and criminal records check.

Skill/Ability Skills required are demonstrated proficiency in vehicle operation. Must possess verbal, people skills; the ability to think through situations and deal with problems constructively; and the ability to deal with stress. Must be self-motivated with a clean driving record. Must possess ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
