Goldberg Segalla has an immediate opportunity for a Timekeeper Coordinator in its Buffalo office.
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall coordination, execution, and maintenance of the Firm’s Timekeepers in multiple systems including but not limited to Entity Manager and eBilling Vendors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Knowledge of timekeepers, rates, WIP fees, and disbursements
- Pursue an expert level understanding of Timekeeper protocols, rate agreements, client guidelines, and ebilling vendors.
- Investigate and research problems associated with timekeepers and/or rate issues and work to resolve in a timely manner.
- Update and Maintain Entity Manager application
- Prioritize and organize numerous email requests
- Thoroughly and timely address inquiries while communicating effectively with attorneys and other staff
- Effectively collaborate with the Billing Process team to foster a professional and positive team culture while addressing the overall needs of the department
- Demonstrate self-motivation and ownership of assigned work
- Perform administrative work, including but not limited to, outlook, document management, copier, and fax
- Commitment to follow-up and issue resolution
- Assist with department training when needed
- Assist with special projects and deadlines as needed
- Contribute by recommending actions that would allow for more effective processes in the department
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE:
- At least (2) years of legal billing or other legal experience preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of computers including but not limited to Microsoft applications
- Preferably possess a strong knowledge of Aderant Functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to compile, analyze, and interpret data
- Regularly required to observe and assess data and documents, in printed form and on computer screens
- Regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in English
- May be requested to work beyond normal work hours and weekends for special projects
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to work independently within general guidelines and minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness and ability to assume new tasks and responsibilities
- Competence in using math and performing calculations

This role offers an hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary range for this position is est. $25.00 to $30.00/hr. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
