Position Summary

Timberline’s Business Banker is responsible for developing and managing business banking relationships while delivering exceptional customer service and financial solutions aligned with client needs. This role focuses on relationship development, portfolio support, business development activities, and foundational credit and financial analysis. The Business Banker works under moderate supervision while building the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for progression into more advanced commercial banking responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business banking relationships through proactive customer contact and relationship-building activities.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships through loans, deposits, treasury management, and other bank products and services.
  • Support portfolio growth while maintaining strong customer service standards and sound credit quality.
  • Participate in business development activities including prospecting, networking, and referral generation.
  • Gather financial information and assist with credit analysis, underwriting support, and loan structure recommendations.
  • Monitor customer relationships for potential risk concerns and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery and positive customer experiences.
  • Maintain compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in community and professional networking activities to enhance market visibility and business development efforts.
  • Continuously develop business banking, credit, and relationship management knowledge and skills.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred.

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Incentives based on Timberline Team goals may also be offered.
