Job Description – The Property Manager manages the building operations and property management team members ensuring the fiscal and operational success of the building. With excellent customer service skills, the primary responsibility of the Property Manager will be the tenant and financial management and reporting for the property working closely with the accounting team and building ownership. With excellent customer service skills, the Property Manager will work with tenants and building team members to support the property retention goals. Strong team work and accountability are key attributes of the successful Property Manager. Additional responsibilities for the Property Manager include the following:
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of smaller to moderate sized buildings
  • Knowledge of San Francisco Rent Control Laws
  • Flexible with working off site as needed in various locations
  • Manage tenant relationships with all residents
  • Lead property inspections, move in inspections, etc.
  • Assist Senior Leadership with all projects
  • Strong customer service skills to walk through challenging resident scenarios
  • Manage a property team, to resolve resident issues in a timely fashion.
  • Work closely with maintenance and construction teams
  • Oversee and manage maintenance requests and issues
  • Prepare financial reporting including variance and leasing
  • Coding and processing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Appear at rent board and court proceedings
  • Vendor management, ensuring vendors are completing all tasks on time and on target
  • Collect bids for larger projects
  • Able to train and manage a team
  • Ensure all building systems are up to code i.e.. Boiler, Fire System, Elevator, etc.
  • Available to work flexible hours including on call after hours as needed
Requirements
  • 3 -5 years of previous real estate experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and building operations
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, Yardi, MRI, Timberline, Building Engines, and other commercial real estate software programs.
  • Professional and exceptional leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
