Flooring installers are the front line of Floor Coverings International, executing on our quality and craftsmanship at each job. Our install teams leave the lasting impression that determines our success. We respect the customer and their home, we deliver what we promise, and we clean up.
Key Responsibilities
  • Professionally install residential and commercial tile according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards
  • Perform all phases of tile installation including demolition, floor and wall prep, layout, waterproofing, underlayment installation, setting tile, grout application, trimming, transitions, and final walkthroughs
  • Review work orders, project scope, material details, patterns, and jobsite notes prior to arrival
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the project
  • Properly operate and maintain tile installation tools and equipment
  • Ensure accurate measurements, cuts, layouts, grout lines, and pattern alignment with strong attention to detail
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, and team members while working in customers homes
  • Protect customer property and furnishings during installation
  • Identify and communicate any jobsite concerns, substrate issues, moisture concerns, or material discrepancies before installation begins
  • Maintain high workmanship standards and deliver an exceptional customer experience on every project
  • Travel to various residential and commercial job sites throughout the Phoenix Valley
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of professional tile installation experience
  • Experience with residential and commercial tile installation including floors, showers, backsplashes, walls, large-format tile, and custom layouts preferred
  • Experience with waterproofing systems, floor prep, leveling, and substrate preparation preferred
  • Must maintain an active Arizona ROC license appropriate for flooring installation work
  • Must maintain active General Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation coverage
  • Must provide proof of ROC license, insurance coverage, and all required business documentation prior to onboarding and maintain active status throughout subcontractor relationship
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation capable of transporting tools and installation equipment
  • Must have own professional tile installation tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift 5075 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining company installation and customer service standards
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
