The Estimator at Brekhus Tile & Stone, Inc. will assist the Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) in all aspects of tile and stone installation projects, including estimating, project coordination, and administrative support. This role involves estimating project costs, preparing detailed proposals, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget. Proficiency in SAGE will be essential for managing project documentation, budgets, and financial tracking. The Estimator will also work closely with the fabrication team to ensure seamless execution of the design and installation process, serving as a vital point of contact between the client, vendors, subcontractors, internal teams, and the fabrication team.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
  • Review project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to finalize project pricing.
  • Ensure that estimates reflect all necessary labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Use SAGE software to create detailed bids, track costs, and update project pricing.
  • Attend site visits and inspections to assess project scope and provide accurate estimates.

Project Coordination:
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) at Brekhus in managing and coordinating all aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the project.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and the fabrication team to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Monitor project schedules and progress, working with the Sr. PM and fabrication team to address any delays or issues.
  • Ensure all necessary permits, documentation, and legal requirements are met.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the Sr. PM and fabrication team.
  • Manage project documentation using SAGE, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards on job sites.

Fabrication Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure materials are properly sourced, fabricated, and ready for installation on time.
  • Coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure that any technical or material issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
  • Assist the Sr. PM and fabrication team in managing schedules, fabrication timelines, and ensuring smooth transitions between phases of the project.

Client and Vendor Management:
  • Assist the Sr. PM in communicating with clients to understand their needs, expectations, and project goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and the fabrication team.
  • Resolve any client concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner, with support from the Sr. PM.

Administrative Support:
  • Assist the Sr. PM with project planning, scheduling, and coordination of tasks.
  • Prepare reports and provide regular updates on project status to management.
