Job description

We are seeking multiple candidates forย TileInstaller and/or Carpenterย to work in aย shipyard environment,specializing in the installation and repair of SHT tile surfaces aboard navaland commercial vessels. This role requires a background inย tileinstallation, subfloor preparation, and carpentry, ensuring high-qualitycraftsmanship while meeting strict maritime safety and industrystandards.ย  This job will provide an opportunity to train as a SHT TileInstaller, which is responsible for applying specialty tiles on nuclearpowered submarines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation:ย Prep and level surfaces for tile installation.
  • Tile Installation:ย Measure, fit, and install composite tiles on submarines.
  • Caulking & Finishing:ย Apply caulk and finishing touches to ensure durability and slip resistance.
  • Repairs & Maintenance:ย Remove damaged tiles, replace caulking, and repair tiles.
  • Quality Control & Compliance:ย Ensure all work adheres to shipyard specifications, safety regulations, and maritime industry standards.
  • Safety & Worksite Maintenance:ย Follow strict shipyard safety protocols, wear proper PPE, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Commercial Carpentry:ย Experience working on large-scale construction or renovation projects.
  • Tile Installation:ย Proficiency in installing ceramic or composite tile in high-traffic or industrial environments.
