JOB OVERVIEW Seeking skilled and dedicated Journeyman Tile Installers to join our team. In this role, you will be working exclusively on luxury residential projects in the Greater St. Louis and St. Charles areas. This is not production or basic tile work. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship, precise measurements, and seamless finishes that meet project specifications and client expectations. RESPONSIBILITIES Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed installation instructions to ensure accurate tile placement. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar for optimal tile adhesion. Measure and cut tiles precisely using hand toos and power tool to fit designated spaces, including corners and irregular surfaces. Install tiles on floors, walls, ceilings and other surfaces with attention to detail for consistent grout lines and alignment. Apply grout, caulking, sealants, and finishing touches to achieve a polished appearance Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and resolve onsite challenges. Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Examples of typical work include: Walk-in showers, Zero-entry systems, Natural stone (including marble), custom niches and detailed finishes, high-end homes with precision expectations. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5+ years of residential tile experience; Proven experience with high-end homes or custom work with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Photos of past work is required; Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics and technical drawings related to tile installation; Skilled in using hand tools (trowels, tile cutters) and power tools (wet saw, grinders) as needed for cutting and setting tiles; Experience with waterproofing shower systems (Schluter, Wedi, etc.); Ability to operate scaffolding or ladders safely at heights; Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites; commitment to maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment; Strong attention to detail; Excellent communication skills and reliable transportation.
