Overview

We are seeking skilled, journeyman-level roofers to join our high-performing team. This position is a demanding, high-reward role for individuals with extensive experience in both tile and asphalt roofing systems. The work is compensated on a piece-rate basis, and we offer a clear, competitive rate per square for all completed work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation Expertise: Journeyman level experience in installation of various roofing materials, with a specific emphasis and mandatory experience in both asphalt shingles and tile roofing (concrete, clay, terracotta, etc.).
  • Quality Workmanship: Ensure all installations meet or exceed manufacturer specifications and local building codes, paying close attention to detail on flashings, valleys, and sealing.
  • Safety & Compliance: A mandatory commitment to working safely is required. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations (e.g., OSHA), ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and all crew members.
  • Efficiency: Work efficiently and effectively to maximize piece-rate earnings while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Material Handling: Capably handle various roofing materials, which are heavy and require careful handling to avoid damage.
  • Problem-Solving: Address unexpected challenges and complexities on job sites (e.g., steep pitches, multiple penetrations, multi-story homes) with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven journeyman-level experience (4+ years) in residential and/or commercial roofing, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Mandatory Skills: Must have hands-on experience and expertise in installing both tile and asphalt shingle roofing systems.
  • Safety Oriented: Must be highly safety-oriented and willing to follow all company and regulatory safety guidelines without exception.
  • Physical Stamina: The role requires significant physical exertion, including heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights in various weather conditions.
  • Equipment: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to various job sites.
