Job description

Position Summary:

Conducts day-to-day activities pertaining to burning (shrink-wrap) and loading product for the shipping department, burning and Loading material correctly and in an efficient manner. All while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Effectively communicates with department supervisors.

· Visually inspects all material to identify any non-conformances.

· Ensures all material is protected from potential damage that could occur during transit.

· Packages material securely.

· Utilizes Pick Ticket information to accurately verify and record information on shrink-wrapped pallets.

· Properly matches shipments to the loading forms ensuring vehicles are loaded with the correct material.

· Photographs loaded product (photo verification).

· Properly fills out information required on pick ticket and accompanying forms.

· Attends safety meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them.

· Identifies areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

· Duties are not limited to those described above, and may be expanded as needed.

Information and activities Critical to Process Quality:

·Material Verification and Documentation:

o Visual inspection

o Markings on the shipment matches what is written on the Pick Ticket

o Pick Ticket is properly filled out (pulled by, quantities, heat numbers, etc.)

o Weights and Dimensions form is properly filled out

o Photo verification of product after packing

·Identify non-conformances and notify department leads and shipping supervisor.

o Segregate non-conforming product

Qualifications:

·Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

·1+ years of warehouse experience.

·Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables.

·High school diploma or GED.

·Basic computer skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

·Ability to drive forklift and secure certification.

·Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.

·Capable of lifting 50 lbs with back support.

·Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned.

·Takes initiative and can work independently.

·Requires a high level of attention to detail.

·Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
