INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

INTERNSHIP TITLE: Northland Internship (Various Openings, see descriptions below)

LOCATION: Holland Patent or Syracuse

HOURLY RATE: $17 per hour

Gain knowledge of a Northland department specified below and the general field of Telecom in a fun and engaging environment.

Network Operations Center (NOC) Intern

  • Interpret trouble issues and identify methods of resolution.
  • Recognize impactful skills customer services approach to interacting with customer.
  • Identify full trouble ticket elements and process workflow, including partner teams.
  • Demonstrate technical documentation skill of network operations functions.
  • Demonstrate proactivity in monitoring threshold.
  • Understand the services we provide our customers.
  • Gain the ability to triage and troubleshoot internal and external tickets

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE THIS:

INTERN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude
  • A valid driver's license or ability to access transportation to attend internship.
  • Network Engineering Only: Must be a Junior or Senior in College.

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • We can work with college or university requirements if candidate is interested in using this internship for a credit bearing experience. We do not sponsor college credits.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to reach, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES USED:

Ability to use voicemail, telephone, calculator, computer, printer.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

The intern is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
