About the Role:

The Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Marketing Manager. This is a hybrid position, with an in-office requirement at our Hartford, Connecticut corporate office every Tuesday. Preference will be given to candidates based in Connecticut or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Primary Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

This role encompasses the following key areas of responsibility, supporting the seamless execution and organization of Fine Fettle's marketing and commercial initiatives across the business. Key responsibilities include:

Campaign Development & Management:

  • Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with Fine Fettle's brand voice to promote products, drive customer engagement, and build brand awareness.
  • Develop and manage customer communications, including email campaigns, newsletters, SMS, push notifications, and customer service messaging.
  • Build and deploy Alpine IQ (AIQ) email, SMS, and automation campaigns, with the exception of large-scale strategic CRM initiatives, which are managed by the Marketing Manager.
  • Manage basic AIQ platform administration, including ticket submissions, troubleshooting, and platform support.
  • Analyze campaign performance and recommend data-driven optimizations to improve results.

Website & Digital Platform Management:

  • Maintain and update Fine Fettle websites and mobile app, ensuring content, promotions, and product information remain accurate and current.
  • Collaborate with web development partners to test and implement website updates and digital assets while ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Schedule and manage retail digital signage and TV content through OptiSigns.

Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance using Google Analytics, Alpine IQ, advertising platforms, and other reporting tools.
  • Own reporting and analytics for CRM, paid advertising, website performance, and other digital marketing initiatives.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations to optimize ROI, customer engagement, and campaign performance.
  • Prepare recurring reports and dashboards to communicate marketing performance to internal stakeholders.

Customer Communications & Segmentation:

  • Execute and optimize customer segmentation strategies to personalize marketing efforts and enhance customer engagement.
  • Support ongoing CRM initiatives through audience management, campaign testing, reporting, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure all customer communications align with regulatory requirements and Fine Fettle brand standards.

Marketing Operations & Administrative Support:

  • Process marketing AP invoices and maintain accurate documentation for marketing expenses.
  • Coordinate communications and project execution with third-party vendors, printers, agencies, and other external partners.
  • Manage and monitor the shared marketing@ inbox, ensuring inquiries are routed and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Source, order, and coordinate production of print collateral and marketing materials with approved vendors.
  • Respond to and manage internal and external marketing ticket requests.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department by assisting with departmental projects and administrative initiatives as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with Creative, Retail Operations, Wholesale, E-commerce, and other cross-functional teams to execute integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and aligned with company priorities.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with departmental initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, CRM, or marketing operations, preferably within retail, CPG, startup, or cannabis environments.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM strategy, email marketing, customer segmentation, and paid advertising.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, CRM platforms, and project management tools such as Asana.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and marketing analytics, with the ability to interpret campaign and digital performance data.
  • Experience managing CRM platforms, including campaign deployment, segmentation, reporting, and optimization.
  • Experience with cannabis marketing platforms such as Alpine IQ (AIQ), Jane, Leafly, D,utchie or similar industry technologies is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for marketing and the cannabis industry.
  • Ability to pass a Federal Background Check with no felony convictions
