Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our US Wealth team as an RIA Regional Consultant covering Enterprise RIAs. This role is responsible for partnering with executive teams of the largest and fastest-growing RIA firms in the country, driving business development, product placement, and sales activation. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while advancing State Street Investment Management's strategic objectives and expanding our presence within Enterprise RIAs.

Due to the role requirements, this job requires extensive travel throughout the United States to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, and support partner engagement activities.

As an Enterprise RIA Regional Consultant, you will:

  • Own key client and strategic partner relationships across the largest Enterprise RIAs in the country
  • Develop and maintain on-going account plans for assigned Enterprise RIAs, conducting quarterly business reviews to assess performance, identify growth opportunities and challenges, manage strategic investments and budgets, and measure progress against key business objectives and return on investment (ROI)
  • Identify and understand client needs and their varying business practices, delivering meaningful market insights, product information, investment ideas and sales support.
  • Demonstrate strong investment acumen and serve as an expert on SSIM investment solutions including ETFs, models, and cash, maintaining a deep knowledge of positioning, holdings and investment results while educating clients and prospects on our investment capabilities, product offerings, and competitive advantages.
  • Cultivate new and existing relationships to drive Net New Revenue and Net New Assets with the highest areas of concentrated wealth across the RIA channel.
  • Lead and coordinate travel throughout the country with various sub advisory partners and index providers including the World Gold Council, DoubleLine Capital, Blackstone, Bridgewater Associates, and Apollo.
  • Leverage centers of influence across the RIA ecosystem including custody and TAMP partners like Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Orion, Envestnet, and Ethic
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal business partners, including Product, Marketing, Events, Research, Capital Markets, and Business Intelligence to effectively deliver SSIM resources & capabilities to clients, including comparative analytics, capital markets insights and actionable investment ideas.
  • Represent SSIM's strategy, priorities, and investment capabilities in client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Mentor and support colleagues across the broader sales organization through collaboration, coaching, and best practice sharing.
  • Maintain the highest standards of compliance and risk management while demonstrating a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement of sales and investment skills.
  • You will demonstrate initiative to continuously hone sales skills and pursue professional development.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required
  • CFA, CIMA, or other relevant investment industry designations preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the investment management industry, including at least 5 years of Sales/Business Development experience
  • Strong understanding of the RIA distribution channel and advisor ecosystem
  • Demonstrated investment acumen and knowledge of ETFs, mutual funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and related investment solutions
  • Ability to influence across a matrixed organization and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-starter with strong leadership skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and grow strategic client relationships while driving business results
  • Extraordinary organizational, analytical, written, verbal, and sales presentation skills

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $207,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
