We're looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Sales Operations to support our North America Commercial organization. In this role, you'll serve as a key operational partner, leading the execution of national trade shows, maintaining our product catalog, and supporting sales enablement initiatives that help our commercial teams succeed.
You'll collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, and external vendors to ensure flawless execution of customer-facing events and operational processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities, building relationships, and bringing projects from concept to completion.
Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Operations, you'll play an important role in enabling the success of our Commercial organization.
What You'll Do
  • Lead National Trade Shows & Commercial Events- Own the planning and execution of 3-4 national convenience trade shows and 2-3 industry events each year from start to finish. You will:
    • Manage all aspects of trade show project planning, timelines, and execution
    • Partner with our third-party exhibit vendor to oversee booth design, graphics, logistics, installation, and dismantle
    • Coordinate weekly planning meetings and project kickoffs
    • Manage booth services including electrical, internet, rigging, furniture rentals, shipping, and material handling
    • Register BIC as an exhibitor and coordinate attendee registrations and hotel accommodations
    • Partner with Marketing to develop booth graphics and digital displays that elevate our brand presence
    • Coordinate product shipments, booth inventory, and event materials while ensuring compliance with shipping regulations
    • Manage trade show budgets, invoices, and post-event reconciliations
    • Lead post-show debriefs to capture learnings and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support Sales & Commercial Operations - Help keep our Commercial organization running efficiently by supporting key operational initiatives. You will:
    • Own and maintain the product catalog across multiple product categories, ensuring accuracy and consistency
    • Support the delivery and coordination of sales training programs
    • Manage trade advertising activities and related administrative processes
    • Coordinate product samples, customer giveaways, promotional materials, and branded swag
    • Support planning and execution of the annual NAM Commercial Meeting
    • Partner cross-functionally on projects that improve commercial operations and sales effectiveness
    • Provide operational support for ad hoc Commercial and Sales initiatives

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-3 years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, Project Management, Event Management, or a similar role within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means delivering seamless execution while building strong partnerships across the organization. Successful candidates will:

Travel
  • Approximately 6 travels/year, primarily for national trade shows, commercial meetings, and key customer events.
