Job description

At Landmark Theatres we are Movies and more! We are focused on enhancing your escape through the diversity of our curated content: Films, Music, Sports, Gaming, Live Events, Streaming, etc. Landmark is known for historic theatres as well as those with neighborhood charm and contemporary locations with all the latest amenities.  

We offer all the regular movie concession fare you expect, as well as beer, wine and other spirits at many locations. We are also focused on bringing you state-of-the-art presentation and a safe environment for you to experience it. Going out is a social, interactive experience, and each Landmark Theatre is part of your local community. We interact and engage with our guests, but most of all, we listen.

Essential Duties & Expectations:

Under general supervision of the Theatre Manager, The Part-Time Assistant Manager will manage theatre operations including, staff management and training and development at both locations.  Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of management and customer service experience. 

Specific Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manages day-to-day operations including cash management and inventory
  • Ensures a clean and safe environment by maintaining facility and addressing R&M issues
  • Operates and maintains projection and sound equipment
  • Builds a culture of success through recruiting and retaining top performers
  • Prevents employee relation issues by consistently executing human resources practices; ensure guidelines and processes are adhered to
  • Ensures compliance with employment law, safety regulations, and upholds all company policies and procedures
  • Creates a positive movie going experience through guest engagement and interactions 

Required Manager Qualifications:

  • 1+ years' supervisory experience in an F&B Setting
  • 1+ years' experience in customer service (e.g., retail, restaurant, hospitality, etc.).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of 30 hrs/ week availability
  • Must be available during peak business hours (Nights, Weekend, and Holidays).

Preferred Manager Qualifications:

  • Cinema, alcohol service, food service experience
  • TIPS certified or equivalent
  • ServSafe certified or equivalent
