Job description

Outdoor Emporium in Seattle is seeking a motivated Hunting Department Manager to lead daily operations within our hunting department. This position is responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring department standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, knowledge of firearms/hunting products and outdoor equipment, and the ability to build a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the hunting department
  • Lead, train, and supervise department team members
  • Maintain high standards for customer service and professional appearance
  • Assist customers with product selection
  • Work with our merchandiser to ensure merchandise is properly stocked & displayed
  • Support store loss prevention efforts
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving merchandise
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
  • Maintain accurate pricing and signage throughout the department

Requirements
  • Previous retail management or department lead experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of firearms and hunting equipment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Dependable, organized, and customer-focused
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holiday seasons
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Passion for hunting, conservation, and the outdoors

Salary Description
$27-30 per hour (DOE)
