Bread Cook

Position Overview:

The Bread Cook is responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of bread products according to recipes and standards. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, with a passion for artisan bread making and a dedication to producing high-quality baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Bread Preparation:
    • Mix, knead, and shape bread dough according to recipes and instructions.
    • Operate commercial ovens and other kitchen equipment to bake bread to perfection.
    • Monitor bread production to ensure proper proofing and baking times.
  2. Quality Control:
    • Ensure that all bread is baked to the highest standards, with attention to texture, taste, and appearance.
    • Adjust recipes or processes as needed to maintain consistency and quality.
  3. Inventory and Supplies:
    • Manage inventory of ingredients, including flour, yeast, and other baking essentials.
    • Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Communicate with management regarding supply needs or equipment issues.
  4. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and meet production needs.
