Inbound Membership Specialist Job Description
Wage: $17/hr + DOE
Shift: 30-39 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9:30am- 4:30pm

Are you energized by conversations, enjoy talking on the phone, and take pride in creating exceptional customer experiences? Thanksgiving Point is looking for a friendly, service-oriented Inbound Membership Specialist to serve as a key point of contact for our members and guests.
In this role, you'll spend much of your day connecting with people by phone, answering questions, solving problems, and helping guests get the most from their Thanksgiving Point membership. If you enjoy building relationships, providing solutions, and leaving people feeling valued and cared for, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to inbound phone calls, emails, and online chat inquiries from members and guests.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by identifying needs, answering questions, and resolving concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Contact current and lapsed members regarding membership renewals, account updates, and payment issues.
  • Research and resolve account concerns, transaction questions, and membership-related requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account information within the CRM system.
  • Update payment information and assist members with resolving failed transactions.
  • Utilize multiple software platforms to support member needs and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Create positive experiences that strengthen member satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist with database maintenance and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and distribute documentation to team members and coworkers as needed.
  • Help organize and maintain departmental records and filing systems.
  • Assist with inventory management for department supplies.
  • Support departmental events and special projects.
  • Represent Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values, and Culture in every interaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Naturally enjoys talking with people and providing excellent customer service.
  • Positive, professional, dependable, and responsive.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a warm and friendly phone presence.
  • Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and solution-focused when assisting guests.
  • Previous customer service, call center, hospitality, membership, retail, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office software.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, communicate clearly in English, lift up to 20 pounds, and manipulate small objects.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
