Role Summary
An Industrial Electrician installs and repairs electrical systems and equipment in manufacturing plants, warehouses, and other industrial settings. They interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to ensure safe and efficient power distribution. This role involves collaborating with engineers and other trades to support facility operations. Precision, safety awareness, and expertise in industrial controls and low-to-mid voltage systems are essential for success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Installs wiring, conduit and control panels per blueprints and Foreman direction.
  • Set up and troubleshoot motor controls, transformers and switchgear.
  • Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Integrate sensors, relays and actuators into automated systems.
  • Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety standards.
  • Conduct lockout/tagout procedures during equipment servicing.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Inspect electrical installations for code compliance and operational integrity.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant industrial electrical work in construction or project management.
  • NC Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
