PositionTitle: Accessibility Testing Expert

Period of Performance:

1 year

40 hours per week (no overtime).


Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Testing Expert in digital accessibility testing to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in accessibility standards, testing tools, and assistive technologies to ensure our digital content and applications are inclusive and compliant with legal and industry requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing of websites, applications, and digital content against WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 standards.
  • Utilize a range of automated tools, screen readers, and manual testing methods to identify and document accessibility barriers.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and product teams to guide remediation efforts and ensure accessibility best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed accessibility test plans, cases, and audit reports.
  • Validate the remediation of accessibility issues across iterative development cycles.
  • Stay current with evolving accessibility regulations, standards, and technologies.
  • Participate proactively in design and development reviews to embed accessibility early in the product lifecycle.
  • Support organizational accessibility training and awareness programs.


Required Skills

  • Strong mastery of digital accessibility standards including WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2, Section 508, and ADA compliance.
  • Extensive experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and Accessibility Checker.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, ARIA roles, and JavaScript as related to accessibility.
  • Expertise in both automated scans and manual testing techniques, including screen reader and keyboard navigation assessments.
  • Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience performing accessibility testing and audits in web and mobile environments.
