What are some common challenges Testing Assistants face when coordinating with multiple departments during a testing cycle?

Testing Assistants often work closely with various teams such as development, quality assurance, and project management. A common challenge is ensuring clear communication and timely updates, as misalignment can lead to delays or overlooked defects. Managing multiple priorities and adjusting to shifting testing schedules also requires strong organizational skills. Proactively clarifying expectations and maintaining detailed documentation can help Testing Assistants navigate these challenges effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Testing Assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Testing Assistant, you need attention to detail, organizational skills, and a basic understanding of testing protocols, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with test administration software, data entry systems, and sometimes secure browser tools is typically required. Strong communication, reliability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality help Testing Assistants stand out. These skills ensure accurate test administration, uphold security standards, and provide a smooth experience for both testers and administrators.

Is there a legit product tester job?

A legitimate product tester job involves evaluating products for companies or market research firms, often requiring attention to detail and reporting skills. These positions can be found through reputable companies or job boards and may involve testing products at home or in controlled environments. Beware of scams that promise easy money without verification or upfront fees.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

In the context of a Testing Assistant role, earning $2,000 a day is uncommon and typically associated with highly specialized or senior positions such as contract consultants, project managers, or freelance experts in technology or engineering fields. Most testing assistant positions do not offer such high daily rates.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A Testing Assistant typically does not earn $10,000 a month without a degree; most entry-level testing roles pay lower wages. Job description

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an RKS SQA Agile Room team leader who will be testing projects while also managing the other SQA test resources assigned to support the room's full project list. This is a senior team role (Assistant Vice President) reporting directly to the RKS SQA Test Manager.
The person should be a businessfocused tester responsible for validating enhancements delivered to RKS (Record Keeping Services) - State Street's middleoffice accounting and recordkeeping platform - by deeply understanding financial services workflows and the investment manager operating model and translating them into effective test coverage.

Why this role is important to us

The role is part of the Record Keeping Services (RKS) development team, specifically part of Software Quality Assurance, a functional testing requirement that is vital to RKS development. State Street depends on RKS which underpins daily middleoffice and backoffice accounting operations for a large list of global investment managers.

This role is critical because accurate testing of RKS functionality requires strong business analysis skills, understanding how investment managers operate daytoday, and ensuring that system changes correctly support accounting, operational, and regulatory processes before production deployment. In addition, the role requires project management of the other test resources and projects assigned to your Agile room; this role is the SQA Agile team leader.

What you will be responsible for

As an RKS SQA Agile Testing Room Leader, you will:

  • Analyze and understand business requirements supporting financial services and investment manager operations, with a focus on middleoffice and backoffice accounting workflows.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into meaningful test scenarios that reflect realworld operating models used by global investment managers.
  • The SQA leader assigns all testing support for the projects in your Agile room, manages that all projects are fully understood, test requirements are understood and the code delivery dates are met.
  • Create and execute functional test plans and assess edge cases across

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Strong business analysis skills with the ability to understand and question financial services and investment management workflows.
  • Solid understanding of investment accounting, record keeping, and middleoffice operating models.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to assess business impact and identify risk areas.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business users, developers, and downstream support teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain issues in both business and technical terms.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in software testing or business analysis supporting financial services, investment management, or accounting systems
  • Demonstrated experience working with business requirements, functional specifications, and operating models.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reconciliation (Oracle or similar RDBMS)
  • Experience using Jira and Xray for test management, documentation, and defect tracking.
  • Exposure to Javabased automation tools is preferred.

Additional requirements

A strong understanding of the daily operating model of global investment managers, including interactions between middleoffice, backoffice, and downstream systems, is highly desirable.

Experience supporting test evidence, traceability, and documentation in line with State Street SDLC standards is a plus.

Work Requirement

  • Hybrid work model as per State Street policy (3 days onsite and remote combination)
  • Shift timings aligned to project needs, including coordination with offshore teams and release cycles.

Salary Range:

$91,000 - $140,500 Annual
