Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory & Warehouse Assistant to support our Mississauga operations warehouse. In this role, the individual will help manage critical inventory and logistics for the company's core monitored surveillance installation projects."

The ideal candidate will manage inventory flow, order fulfillment (picking, packing, shipping), and warehouse organization. This hands-on role is critical to the seamless execution of our installation projects and requires a strong focus on logistics and equipment health


Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Organization and Maintenance

  • Shipping and Receiving: Timely and accurate receiving of incoming shipments and picking, packing and shipping of outgoing orders. Ensure accuracy in receiving and shipping documentation, matching purchase orders and invoices.
  • Warehouse Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times. Ensure that all materials are easy to locate and access.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, project management) to ensure timely delivery and shipment of materials to job sites. Optimize transportation schedules to reduce downtime and project delays.

Inventory and Stock Management

  • Inventory Management: Assisting with maintaining optimal inventory levels by ensuring stock of all critical components is readily available, including surveillance cameras, NVRs, network servers, structured cabling and all related network infrastructure items.
  • Stock Accuracy: Perform regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy, including cycle counts, full counts, using our perpetual inventory system.
  • Inventory Control: Ensure the warehouse is free of obsolete or unused inventory. Implement procedures for identifying and removing redundant stock while maintaining required operational levels.
  • CCTV RMA Management: Oversee the management of Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) for defective CCTV products. Ensure timely returns, repairs, or replacements, and maintain detailed records of all transactions.

Asset and Equipment Management

  • Property and Equipment Maintenance: Track, monitor, and manage all company-owned assets, including tools, equipment, and project materials.
  • Product Testing: Assist IT support team with testing RMA and outgoing product for faults within the warehouse facility.
  • Staging Product: Assist with staging of outgoing product for installations and services as required.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
  • ERP Knowledge: Prior experience with ERP systems is preferred, with NetSuite experience considered a strong asset. Familiarity with receiving orders, picking, packing and shipping fulfillments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CCTV equipment, network hardware, installation tools and basic knowledge of network infrastructure are strong assets.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to operate in a fast-paced warehouse environment, managing multiple tasks, organizing warehouse spaces efficiently, and maintaining detailed inventory records.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills for liaising with internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues related to stock discrepancies, RMA processes, and equipment maintenance.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in inventory management software, Microsoft Excel, Word and Google Suite.


Work Environment:

  • This role requires a punctual on-site presence in the warehouse.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with regular lifting, moving and packing of products.

This role will require the candidate to complete background checks (includes but not limited to: references, educational verification, criminal check, credit check - where applicable). Certain roles may also require testing.
