MN Eye Consultants is currently hiring for a full-time (1.0 FTE) a Ophthalmic Testing Assistant in our Bloomington clinic.
Position Summary:
The Ophthalmic Testing Assistant is responsible for supporting clinical flow by performing visual field and OCT testing. Starting pay is $18.50-$21.00/hour.
Location/Schedule:
  • This position will work Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm.
  • The Home base for this position is the Minnesota Eye Consultants Bloomingtonclinic however may be scheduled to work shifts at the other clinic locations as needed (Minnetonka, Blaine, and Woodbury).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs patient workups along with preliminary and diagnostic testing including visual acuity, patient history, lensometry if needed, and visual fields in accordance with established protocols.
  • Facilitates efficient patient flow by monitoring schedules and identifies potential schedule conflicts. Notifies appropriate member of management or designee of issues for proper resolution.
  • Ensures and maintains order in assigned work areas.
  • Participates in regular team meetings and reports team progress to ensure effective team and inter-department communications.
  • Attends and participates in research project initiation meetings when requested.
  • Responsible for ongoing professional self-development training and skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of six months customer service experience required.
  • Experience working in healthcare settings preferred, but not required.
