Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced software test engineer to develop and conduct tests of software systems to evaluate compliance with specifications, requirements, and cybersecurity standards. The candidate will be able to analyze test results, identify defects/vulnerabilities, and report findings to support acceptance, risk mitigation, and mission assurance.

Job Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Mission Focus: Work directly with government customer as well as a team of software engineers, systems engineers to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) within classified DoD programs. Execute functional, performance, regression, security, and integration testing; document defects and verify test resolutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in planning and executing test cases, scripts, and procedures for complex software systems. Proven track record with software testing, and quality assurance. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure software testing practices and DoD standards (RMF, NIST). Candidate will analyze reports, test results, including risk assessments, compliance evaluations and recommendations for software improvements or acceptance. Proficient with test tools such as Selenium, JUnit. Knowledge of embedded systems architectures and test experience using embedded systems
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in technical discipline plus eight (8) to twelve (12) years of relevant software testing experience.
    • Programming background in C/C++ and Python.
    • Experience with Git, GitLab, and Jenkins.
    • Experience working in an Agile environment, Agile Development/Agile Process Experience.
    • Demonstrated experience developing or specifying standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
    • Demonstrated experience using automated testing tools.
  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with automated testing frameworks. Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps), and testing within the DoD environment.
