Job Description

Software Test Engineer for Wireless Products:
Seeking a talented individual with experience and long-term interest in the Software Validation field. You will be working with a team that has a tradition of creating market leading speakers and award winning headset products. As a Test Engineer on the software systems team, you will help extend tradition of excellence by ensuring that software enabled headset products are robust and reliable and that they will work well with source devices (e.g. phones, tablets, mp3 players). You will work closely with engineers to support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including interoperability, and prototype field testing.
Key responsibilities of this position are to:
Design, implement and execute test procedures for new headset products that include technologies like Bluetooth and Active Noise cancellation.
Support all phases of the software lifecycle including requirements analysis, testing, release validation, and documentation.
Create the software section of product specific validation plans and provide regular project status updates to team members.
Participate in design/document reviews.
Report failures and work with the team to understand root causes to generate corrective actions and improve the product.
Work with 3rd party test resources as needed.
Occasionally travel to support interoperability test events, meetings with 3rd party suppliers or prototype builds.
Continuously improve existing test methods, including automating test suites.
The ideal candidate will have many of the following characteristics:
Demonstrated interest in consumer audio products.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to create and execute test plans and test cases that ensure proper product functionality.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Able to collaborate across the organization, or independently, with a desire to learn from others.

Qualifications

BS in engineering & 6-8 years of experience in SQA.
Expertise with Bluetooth, WiFi or other wireless & networking protocols.
Experience with Python a bonus.
Experience with basic lab equipment (BT analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Experience with Agile method systems and issue tracking systems such as Jira.
Familiarity with Test Case management systems such as Jama.
Familiarity with executing scripts on automation systems a bonus.
Experience in writing quality defects with all necessary information for quick debugging.
Mobile device interoperability testing of Bluetooth products on both iOS and Android OS.
