Job description

Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical test Engineer who will be part of the Hardware Test Engineering team focused on next generation robotic system design. The electrical test engineer will plan, design, execute, and document testing of electrical systems and components. This will include the design of fixtures, test automation, and safety certification testing.

You will be accountable for guiding and developing test strategies and solutions for new products, with a focus on automation, cycle time reduction, and improving product quality.
Key job responsibilities
You will work with hardware development, regulatory & compliance, program management, and other hardware test team members. The ideal candidate will draw upon previous electrical test engineer experience, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems.

The candidate should be receptive to new concepts, strong at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed and a great team player. Candidate should drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
A day in the life
- Meeting with cross-functional teams to comprehend the business needs for your project, reviewing and providing feedback on requirements, and developing test plans to verify and validate adherence to said requirements.
- Working with other Test Engineers, Hardware and Software developers regarding tools and techniques required for testing.
- Developing test fixtures, test execution strategies, and test reports.

About the team
The Hardware Test Engineering team is accountable for testing any new prototype/pre-production hardware designs within Amazon's robotic solutions.

We validate that any design meets our high standards for quality, efficiency, and most of all, safety.
Part of the larger "Systems Engineering and Evaluation" group. Work directly along-side test engineers from other disciplines (Mechanical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers) to build end-to-end test strategies for Robotic products.
Team is located in both BOS12 and BOS27, with lab spaces and test capabilities in both facilities. Occasional travel between office locations.
