Job Description
Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant QA matters and Test Automation, often requiring coordination between organizations. Provides consultation at the highest technical level to project teams and client areas assisting with the successful development and implementation of effective computer systems applications across multiple computing environments (e.g., host-based, distributed systems, client-server). Consults with the client and IT management and QE staff throughout the project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development, and implementation of effective systems. Drafts revise and approve test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and Test Automation strategy. Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow. Collaborates with users to plan user acceptance testing, alpha, and beta testing. Ensures that system tests are completed and documented and all problems are resolved. Analyzes designs new or modified Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and Test Automation standards and assists in the development and implementation of QA metrics for assessing the
quality of delivered application software. Participates in the review of new QA software and consults with IT staff and client areas in resolving questions during the automated testing process. Works with client and IT management and staff to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and usage of Test Automation tools. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as "the go-to person" for the most complex Quality Assurance, Test Automation & QE assignments.
Skills
• 7-10 years of test automation work experience with preferably 1-2 years at ESI or in the PBM industry.
• Expert-level system test automation experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust to meet the needs of the audience.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work and guide others during time constraints to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior resources.
• Strong technical leadership/influencing skills.
Education
Bachelors in Science, Mathematics or Computer Science
