Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for Associate Test Technicians (Seasonal) to join our rapidly expanding SAR team in Columbia, MD. Element is a test facility for wireless device certification, conducting regulatory and conformance testing for network test services. As a member of the operations team at our Columbia, MD lab, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. Salary Range: $22.00 - 24.20 

Role Type: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Work Shift Onsite:

         Day Shift:     6 am - 3 pm (OT will be expected)

         Night Shift:  4 p.m - 1 am (OT will be expected)

Project Duration: August 2026 - January 2027

Responsibilities
  • Performs and analyze SAR/RF and RF exposure compliance testing and evaluations per regulatory specifications
  • Compiling and reporting test results using MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Evaluate devices and determine applicable standards
  • Work in a team environment and assist in development and improvement of test methodologies, reporting, coordination of various tasks, etc.
  • Maintain laboratory test methods and test equipment
Skills / Qualifications
  • Engineering (STEM) undergraduate students (Associate/Bachelor degree), Technical School Certificate preferred, or commensurate with experience
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, fast learner, team player, and detail oriented
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and computer literate
  • Ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently
  • Must have the motivation, initiative and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
