About the Role:
Hiro Japanese Steak House in Wilmington, NC is looking for an energetic and personable Hibachi Server to join our team! This is your chance to be part of an exciting, high-energy dining experience where great food meets unforgettable entertainment. Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and seat guests at hibachi tables, ensuring a warm and memorable dining experience
  • Take and relay accurate food and beverage orders to hibachi chefs and kitchen staff
  • Serve appetizers, soups, salads, drinks, and entrees in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with hibachi chefs to ensure smooth table timing and guest satisfaction
  • Upsell menu items including specialty cocktails, sushi, and premium entrée options
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and dietary restrictions with care and accuracy
  • Process payments, manage cash and POS transactions, and maintain table cleanliness
Requirements:
  • Previous serving or restaurant experience preferred, hibachi or teppanyaki experience a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first attitude
  • Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-volume, fast-paced dining environment
  • Team player who works well alongside chefs, hosts, and fellow servers
  • Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine and menu items is a bonus
  • Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must meet minimum age requirement to serve alcohol per NC state law
